Born into a Christian home in a town just outside of St. Louis, Alex spent her early years in a Baptist church and school, where her father was the youth pastor. In 2006, her parents planted a church in Eureka, Missouri, uprooting and changing their lives forever. It was there, in the church’s first summer children’s program, that Alex first truly understood the Gospel and accepted Jesus as her Savior. She was baptized in her high school swimming pool.

In 2011, Alex went on her first international mission trip to an orphanage to Haiti, where she fell in love with the nation, culture, and people. To this day, Alex still feels strongly called to be a missionary in Haiti. She hopes to work with children, teachers, and schools to raise up a new generation impacted by quality education and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Alex is currently an undergraduate student at Moody Bible Institute, studying elementary education. She visited Renewal on her very first Sunday in Chicago, and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and community— she loved the vision of such a diverse group of people uniting together to worship and glorify the Lord. Alex immediately plunged into deep involvement in the church, serving with Renewal Kids for two years before taking leadership in the ministry.  Alex is thrilled to serve as Director of Renewal Kids and strives to serve well in this capacity, showing children and parents the love of Christ in the Gospel, discipling them, and sending them out for city and world impact.
